Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. --Proverbs 3:9-10

One of the many privileges we have as Christians is to be able to serve the Lord in our giving. We honor God and express our faith in the simple act of obedience by the faithful giving of our tithe. The tithe represents the giving of one-tenth of your income as a gift to the Lord, as the Bible instructs in Malachi 3:10. In chapters eight and nine of 2 Corinthians, Scripture teaches that we are to give willingly, generously, and with a cheerful heart.

Your contribution goes to your church to support some 15 main areas of ministry represented in the annual church budget. Approximately one-fourth of the annual budget funds missions locally, state-wide, nationally, and around the world! Your faithful giving invests in and ensures the continuation of the many ongoing missions and ministries at FBC.

HOW TO MAKE A CONTRIBUTION

All contributions to First Baptist Church are recorded, and contribution statements are mailed annually in January of the following year.

For your convenience, envelopes are available in the seatbacks of the chairs in the Worship Center as well as the silver collection boxes located in the foyers.

In addition to cash and checks, First Baptist Church also accepts gifts of stock. Benefits of giving appreciated stock include additional tax savings, avoiding capital gains taxes, and receiving a tax deduction for the full value of the stock on the date of transfer.
