Plan Your Visit

Find your place at First Baptist Texarkana

New here? Welcome to First Baptist Texarkana!

Visiting a new place, especially a church, can be overwhelming. If you feel a little awkward, you’re not alone! But the good news is, we hear visitor after visitor tell us how comfortable they felt as soon as they walked in the building.

Speaking of walking in the building, no matter where you park and enter, you’ll be welcomed by greeters who are there to help you. Make sure to ask where the nearest pot of coffee is, and grab a cup on your way to the service.

Sunday Mornings @ FBC

Our Sunday morning service starts at 10:30 a.m., and it usually wraps up by noon. No need to get fancy unless that’s your thing. Most of us wear business casual, with a few Friday casual and suit/ties thrown in. You’ll find our services include times of singing, prayer and teaching right from the Bible.

Before the Sunday morning service, we have Sunday School, which is a great way to get connected and meet people. No matter your life stage or age, we have a class for you! Sunday School starts at 9:15 a.m. and concludes before the worship service starts.

Wednesday Nights @ FBC

Family Meal: 4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Service time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: FBC Atrium

Wednesdays are an exciting time for your entire family at FBC every week! Dinner is served in the CLC starting at 4:45 p.m. This home-cooked meal is great for a family on the go and is very affordable. After dinner, everyone has an age-appropriate place to go for the 6:00 hour. There are services for preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school-aged children as well as a special time of worship and teaching from God’s Word for adults. This is also the time that our adult choir has their weekly rehearsal to prepare for Sunday morning worship.

Wednesdays are also when we offer short-term specialized classes on different topics and books of the Bible. We have these classes for several weeks in the fall and spring. These classes cover a myriad of topics and issues that may be of interest to you. Registration is required, so keep an eye-out on the website for the next round of these small groups.

Kids & Students

We have childcare and kids’ worship available for kids to learn about Jesus in age-appropriate environments. From birth to kindergarten, childcare is available during every service. For first through fifth graders, kids’ worship is held during the 10:30 a.m. worship service, except for the last Sunday of the month, when they get to join their families in the Worship Center. Look for the front desk at the Ark Entrance of our Children’s Building  or in the Fish Tank Foyer in the Preschool area to get directed to the right classroom.

Joining us for Bible Study? Our preschool and children’s ministries will provide age-appropriate teaching about Jesus, incorporated into games, crafts and lessons. And our students will get to engage in study and conversations that encourage their faith to grow.
