FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are the lessons taught?  All lessons are taught weekly at FBC Texarkana at a time mutually agreed upon by the instructor and the student.  Lessons will not be taught during holidays when church offices are closed.

What if I can't pay tuition by the first week of the month?  Please notify the Music Office so financial arrangements can be made.

What if I miss a lesson?  Music instructors are not required to make up lessons missed due to illness, student school/work requirements, or other untimely conflicts.  If a student cancels a lesson, he/she should contact the instructor at least twenty-four hours before the missed lesson. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN FOR MISSED LESSONS.

What if the instructor misses a lesson?  If the instructor cancels a scheduled lesson, he/she will notify the student about setting up a make-up lesson.  The Music Office must be notified of the change in schedule so that the additional lesson may be approved and added to the church calendar.

What happens if there is inclement weather/facility scheduling conflict/school holiday?  The student's instructor will communicate any schedule changes due to such circumstances.

Why is there a registration fee?  This fee is used to cover all necessary books and materials.

Are there programs involving student participation?  Student participation is required in a program at the end of each semester unless the instructor decides that a first-year student is not ready at the time of the program.
